Who is this guy?

William Reece Barron, better known as Reece, PawPaw, Papa, and Unk, passed away suddenly on Jan 19, 2026 at only 57, leaving an irreplaceable memory in his wake. Despite his disabilities, Reece was more of a do-er than a talker, and he always found a way to show he cared, but he cared for no one more than his beloved wife of 33 years, Misty. They had nursed each other through uncountable illnesses throughout the years, and were the center of each other's worlds.

What happened?

This January found Reece nursing his wife through the inevitable winter viruses when he faced an unexpected medical event of his own, from which he was sadly unable to recover. While Misty has thankfully recovered from her own illness, she was understandably unprepared to lose Reece, and even less prepared for the additional costs involved to bring him home to his final resting place.

He is currently being cared for by Hill Crest Memorial, who have been kind enough to delay his cremation as his family gathers the necessary funds. While their patience is greatly appreciated, there is of course a great sense of urgency to give Reece's physical self a final resolution so that his spirit may rest in Peace.

Any amount you can donate will get us that much closer to bringing Reece home to Misty. For the past 33 years they have faced all of Life's hardships together, and it has been even more of a struggle knowing he is not yet at peace. Nothing can assuage her grief and loss, but maybe together we can give her a resolution to this difficult time.
