On March 1, 2026, our family experienced a tragedy that no family should ever have to endure.

Our beloved daughter Precious lost her life in a heartbreaking homicide-suicide that occurred inside Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Homewood, Alabama. What should have been a place of care and safety became the place where our family’s world was forever changed.

Precious was a loving daughter, a caring mother, and a beautiful soul who meant everything to our family. She haddreams, a future, and most importantly, a precious baby girl named Alaia who depended on her.

Now our family is facing the unimaginable reality of burying our daughter while stepping in to raise our granddaughter, who has suddenly lost both of her parents.

No parent ever expects to bury their child. And no baby should have to grow up without her mother.

During this painful time, we are trying to honor Precious with the dignified homegoing she deserves while also preparing to give Alaia the safe, stable, and loving future her mother would have wanted for her.

We are asking for support from our community, friends, and compassionate people everywhere.

This fundraiser will help with:

• Funeral and burial expenses for Precious

• Immediate care and necessities for baby Alaia

• Long-term support for raising Alaia

• Counseling and emotional support services for our family

• Legal and advocacy efforts related to this tragedy

Our goal of $250,000 is meant to ensure that Precious can be laid to rest with dignity and that baby Alaia will have the financial support she needs as she grows up without her mother.
