On May 30th, our beloved Amani Edwards, just 9 years old, tragically drowned, leaving a profound emptiness in our hearts. Amani was a vibrant light whose laughter and spirit brought joy to all who knew her.
Her mother, Kim Lawrence, has devoted 20 years of her life as a teacher in our community, nurturing and guiding countless children. Her kindness and dedication have made a lasting impact on us all. Agape, Amani’s brother, has been a beacon of excellence at Emerson High School, embodying the perseverance and strength that runs in their family.
As they navigate this unimaginable loss, we are asking for your support to help cover the memorial services for Amani. Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to alleviating the financial burden during this heart-wrenching time. Together, we can show Kim and Agape that they are not alone.
Let’s honor Amani’s memory and the love she shared with our community by coming together in this moment of need. Thank you for your kindness and support.
