It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ofelia Sanabria, on July 5th, 2025. Ofelia, a devout catholic, leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years Mario Sanabria as well as her 3 sons Mario Jr. (Wendy), Alexandro (Cecilia) and Daniel (Shelby). She was also a loving grandmother to Roman, Benicio, Grayson, Christian and Marcelino. Ofelia immigrated from Mexico when she was 14 years old. When she was 21 she married her husband Mario and they created a life together for their 3 children. Ofelia was an extremely hard worker from her days working on orchards to working with the elderly. Ofelia was a very caring person, anything she did she would do out of love for her family. Ofelia also loved to cook and tell stories from her past. People could always count on her for her homemade tortillas and delicious pozole. Ofelia will be extremely missed by all those who were fortunate to know and love her. Any funds raised will be used to lay Ofelia to rest. All help is greatly appreciated during this unexpected and difficult time.

Viewing, rosary, mass and final resting will be held at Holy Cross Chapel located at 2200 E 18th St, Antioch, CA 94509.

There will be a private viewing for immediate family on Wednesday, July 30th, 2025 at 4pm.

Visitation will be from 5pm-7pm.

Rosary will begin at 7 pm

Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31st, 2025 at 10:30 am , burial to follow after mass.

A reception will be held afterwards. Details to follow

Con gran tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida Ofelia Sanabria, el 5 de julio de 2025. Ofelia, una católica devota, deja atrás a su amado esposo de 45 años, Mario Sanabria, así como a sus tres hijos: Mario Jr. (Wendy), Alexandro (Cecilia) y Daniel (Shelby). También fue una abuela cariñosa para Roman, Benicio, Grayson, Christian y Marcelino. Ofelia emigró de México a los 14 años. A los 21 se casó con su esposo Mario y crearon una vida juntos para sus tres hijos. Ofelia fue una persona extremadamente trabajadora, desde sus días trabajando en huertos hasta su trabajo con personas mayores. Ofelia era una persona muy cariñosa; todo lo que hacía lo hacía por amor a su familia. A Ofelia también le encantaba cocinar y contar historias de su pasado. La gente siempre podía contar con ella para sus tortillas caseras y su delicioso pozole. Ofelia será extrañada profundamente por todos aquellos que tuvieron la fortuna de conocerla y amarla. Los fondos recaudados se destinarán al entierro de Ofelia. Agradecemos cualquier ayuda en estos momentos inesperados y difíciles.

El velatorio, el rosario, la misa y el descanso final se llevarán a cabo en la Capilla de la Santa Cruz, ubicada en 2200 E 18th St, Antioch, CA 94509.

Habrá un velatorio privado para la familia inmediata el miércoles 30 de julio de 2025 a las 4 p. m.

El velatorio será de 5 p. m. a 7 p. m.

El rosario comenzará a las 7 p. m.

La misa se celebrará el jueves 31 de julio de 2025 a las 10:30 a. m. y el entierro se realizará después de la misa.

Posteriormente se ofrecerá una recepción. Próximamente se darán más detalles.
