We are Yolanda, Nathan Smith’s sister, and LaVonne his mother—and we are reaching out with heavy hearts.
Our beloved Nathan had been missing for five long, painful years. We searched, hoped, and prayed for answers every single day. Recently, our family received heartbreaking confirmation—Nathan’s remains have been found.
While this news finally brings us some closure, we are now faced with the difficult task of laying him to rest. I (LaVonne) am on Social Security with very limited income, and we need help covering the costs of his memorial service and burial.
I have created this GoFundMe to ask for your support. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward giving Nathan a proper farewell—and bringing my mother, and our entire family, the peace and closure we’ve longed for.
Nathan was truly one of a kind. His fun, witty sense of humor could light up the darkest room. When he loved you, he loved deep and hard. He was loyal, funny, caring, and unforgettable. His smile, laugh, and presence are deeply missed by everyone who knew him.
If you are able to give or share, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your support helps us honor Nathan’s life and finally lay him to rest with the dignity he deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Yolanda & LaVonne
