The relationship my mother and I had was one of a kind. I grew up an only child, and my father passed when I was 5, so it was just her and I for the past 34 years. She was my constant companion, my support, and my best friend. Her love for the coast was something we shared, and I always admired how she found peace and joy in the ocean breeze.

On 4/28/26, my mother passed away, and I am now facing the difficult task of arranging her cremation. I am 72 days clean and sober, working hard to rebuild my life, but I currently only work part time due to outpatient treatment classes. Covering these costs alone is overwhelming, and I am reaching out for help from my community.
