My mother, Sylvia Edwards, was a generous and selfless person, always willing to help others even when she was facing her own challenges. She battled stage 4 lung cancer and SVC syndrome with incredible strength and courage. Unfortunately, she had a life insurance policy that she could no longer afford and allowed it to lapse just one month before her diagnosis. By the time I found out, it was too late to get it reinstated because of her cancer diagnosis. This has left our family in a difficult position as we try to honor her memory and give her the farewell she deserves.

The funds raised will be used to cover the costs of her funeral memorial, viewing, and burial expenses. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us lay her to rest in a way that reflects the love and kindness she showed to everyone around her. My mother was the type of person who would give the shirt off her back if she knew you were in dire need, and she often gave to others even when she was in need herself.
