My mom was a loving and caring person to everyone she knew. If you needed help with anything, she did her best to make sure you were okay. She taught me so much about life and how to treat people. My mom always wanted everyone around her to be happy and having a good time. She’d always make time for everyone—sometimes she’d take me and a few of my friends to the casino, to a fair, or just out to eat. We’d all laugh and tell stories about when we were all growing up or what we had going on in our lives at the time. Almost everyone who knew her called her mom.

This past September, she was diagnosed with cancer, and by the time we found out, it had already progressed to stage four. While she was in physical therapy to walk again, her insurance ended and she was moved to a facility far from home. About a month after she got there, her heart pressure dropped incredibly low and she was sent to St. Joseph’s hospital, where she passed away a day later. I’m still in shock because my mom was my best friend. Anytime I needed someone to talk to about anything, she was right there. Now I’m by myself and have to go forward in life without my mom by my side.

The funds raised will go directly towards her viewing in Long Beach and to send her home to Arizona, where she wanted to be laid to rest with her family. I am trying to do this on my own, but it’s hard and I don’t have anyone to turn to. If you can please help me grant her final wishes, I thank you in advance from the bottom of my heart.
