After losing his battle to a long term illness, our family is now faced with the heartbreaking task of laying my father to rest. This loss comes just a few months after we said goodbye to my aunt, his sister, and the emotional weight has been incredibly heavy for all of us. I never thought we would be here, and yet here we are, humbly asking for help from family, friends, and even strangers (friends we have yet to meet). It’s not easy to ask, but we truly need support during this time.

Unfortunately, my father was not able to secure insurance or save enough for end-of-life expenses before his passing. Because of this, we are doing everything we can to give him a respectful farewell with the resources we have. We have chosen cremation, but we are hoping to hold a memorial service where those who loved him can come together, grieve, and celebrate his life. No one is ever prepared to plan a funeral for someone they love, and the added financial stress makes an already painful time even harder.
