My daughter, Sonia, was my first baby, my beginning, and a light that brought immeasurable love and meaning into our lives. She is deeply missed by her two sisters, who adored her, and by all of us who loved her beyond words, her father, her grandmother, her aunts and uncles, her cousins, and even her beloved cat, Shoyo, who was never far from her side. Our family is truly devastated by her loss.

Sonia was a gentle, caring soul with a generous heart. She often spoke of wanting to help me, especially knowing the challenges I face as someone who is low vision and legally blind. I have always done everything within my ability to provide for my children, but my income has only ever allowed us to get by.

Now, as we face the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye, we are also faced with the overwhelming cost of funeral and burial expenses. Even with the love and support of those who cared for Sonia, the financial burden is more than we can manage alone. Our only wish is to give her a modest, loving burial, one that reflects the dignity, warmth, and compassion she carried in her life.

Any support during this time would bring profound relief and gratitude to our family. Alongside grief, I carry a heavy sadness and guilt for not being able to provide this final act of care on my own. She was always thinking of others, always wanting to help, and I know she would never want me, or any of us, to carry this weight alone.
