Dear friends, family, and the Bakersfield community,

It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing the death of My dad Robert Shields. For those of you that knew him, you knew that he was a fighter. MY dad fought till the very end — so much so, that none of us thought it was the end just yet. He was turning 50 in just a couple days!!!!

Its so sad to know the strongest man I've ever known , is gone, ill tell you that you should prepare for death. Death is inevitable. No one is too good to beat it. deserved. He brightened the lives of so many with his laugh, sense of humor, and just his personality in general he was such a good person my dad was always there no matter what and he have so many friends and he would always be there for them no matter what not many people I know have anything bad to say about him! He was amazing! And  heaven truly gained an angel to be reckoned with — in the best way. 

As you can imagine, my family was not at all prepared for the financial burden that comes along with a proper funeral service and burial. That is why I am reaching out to you all in hopes that you’ll show your support. Not for me, but for Him, he would of helped anyone that was close to him or even if he didn't know you he would help . And it's so sad ! I am devastated. 

So you know exactly where your donation will be used, we are planning a modest but proper ceremony. Every little bit helps!

My Father Robert Shields a.k.a. Dipper  unfortunately , passed away on leaving behind his wife Jaime Shields and his kids Delany Shields, Daman Shields & Levi Shields and his sister Shelly Skelton & many many many friends and more family. The family is shocked and saddened by this loss and unfortunately not financially prepared as this was unexpected. If you knew Robert Shields, you’d know how much they touched the lives of everyone around them. It’s now our turn to give back and help his children and family and friends  as we deal with the loss of my father We are raising money to assist with funeral costs/memorial service costs/labor costs/time off as the family deals with this loss. Please every little bit counts ! My dad was my rock he was one of the greatest friends I've ever had ! I can barely breathe, let alone try to get all this situated, it's so stressful,  this is one of the greatest pains I've ever felt in my life and this is so hard it's taking everything I have in me to do this for him but I know I have to do this for him I have to lay him down to rest please and thank you everybody we would all very much appreciate it and we will be doing car washes in Bakersfield I just don't have a mandatory set place yet every day it's been different so far but for anyone that knows me I will post it publicly on my Facebook and social media come and get your car washed even if you have a dollar everything helps thank you everybody again
