My brother was always the goofy, loud one in our family, cracking jokes and trying to get everyone in a better mood, even when he was struggling himself. Even during his hardest days, he made sure to check in on me, asking how I was doing and what I was up to. He was the kind of person who would send a million messages about anything and everything, when it could have been just one. His presence filled every room with laughter and warmth, and his absence is deeply felt by all of us.

Over the past few years, my brother faced ongoing health issues. Sadly, he passed away in his sleep. He was unemployed at the time and did not have life insurance, so the financial responsibility for his funeral and memorial services has fallen on our family. We want to honor his memory and give him the farewell he deserves, but the costs are more than we can manage alone.

This unfortunately isn’t the first time I’ve lost someone, but every time I have, my community has come together and helped me so much.
