My name is Tammy, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help in honoring the life of my brother who passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Richard Kanouse—known to those who loved him simply as Rich.
Rich was a kind soul who didn’t have much in terms of material possessions, but he gave what he could: his time, his laughter, and his love. He faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and never asked for much. Now, in the wake of his passing, we find ourselves struggling to give him the farewell he deserves.
We are trying to raise funds to cover the costs of Rich’s funeral, burial plot, and headstone. These expenses have added up quickly, and we simply don’t have the means to shoulder them alone. It’s incredibly hard to ask for help, but we want to make sure Rich is laid to rest with dignity and love.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us move closer to that goal. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us. We’re so grateful for any support you can offer—whether it’s financial, emotional, or simply keeping Rich in your thoughts.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, with a service, officiated by Connersville Baptist Temple Senior Pastor Joe Ferriera, immediately following at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home in Connersville, Indiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to a GoFundMe account (See Tammy Roberts Facebook) to assist with funeral expenses. Your support during this time is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for helping us honor his memory.
With love and gratitude, Tammy
