It's never expected, even when you know it's coming. On October 28th, just 11 days after her 68th birthday, my mom lost her battle with a septic infection that had spread to her heart and brain.

She was my rock, my only remaining biological family, and this loss has been the hardest I've experienced. While I will eventually be okay, this was so sudden that we didn't have time to plan.

With the help of Science Care, I was able to get her cremation done. I'm asking for help to inter her remains with her parents. That way she's able to rest with her mom, dad, and older brother.
