Help Lay Michael Sherman to Rest

My name is Arielle, and Shalyn and I have been best friends for over 20 years. Over that time, and even before it, our families have been deeply connected—truly like one another’s own. It is with great sadness that I share the passing of Shalyn’s father, Michael Sherman, after years of bravely battling cancer. Mike wasn’t just Shalyn’s dad—he was like a second father to me and to so many others who were lucky enough to grow up around him.
Mike helped raise Shalyn’s older sister, Shianne, as well as his stepchildren, Monte and Shyanne. Shalyn was truly blessed to call him her dad, and his wife Cheryl and the rest of the family were equally blessed to share their lives with such a devoted husband and father.
His grandchildren, Armani Rosario and Rumir Santana, were his pride and joy—his entire world. Mike also shared an unbreakable bond with his brothers, Robert, Russell, and Joseph Sherman, creating lifelong memories together in their childhood home.
Throughout his life, Mike remained deeply rooted in the Lynn community. His strength, loyalty, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. To know Mike was to love him.
Mike was a fighter—literally and figuratively. Whether with gloves on or off, he never backed down from a challenge. He fought this illness with everything he had for years, never losing his courage or determination.
Unfortunately, the cost of his long battle has been significant. Now, as his family prepares to lay him to rest, they need support. If you’re able, please consider helping during this difficult time.
