Hello,

As many of you may know, our beloved Luz (Lucy/Ama) has gained her beautiful wings. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandma, sister, and aunt. She leaves behind her husband, Octavio; her three children, Lety, Fito, and Lupe; four grandchildren, Gio, Milan, Isla, and Nico; her daughter-in-law, Kandi; son-in-law, Senica; her two brothers, Juan Angel and Meni; and sister, Tere. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was surrounded by people who loved her. But she gained all that love rightfully so. She was known for her bright and outgoing spirit. She was caring, funny, and could light up any room she walked in.

She lived in Chicago for many years, and she always mentioned how much she loved it there and wanted to go back. So our family has decided to take her. We would be eternally grateful for anything that would help us on this painful journey to lay her to rest in Chicago. We will all miss her immensely, but we will keep her alive through the memories we share with her. Thank you all and may God bless you.

Como muchos de ustedes sabrán, nuestra querida Luz (Lucy/Ama) ha ganado sus hermosas alas. Fue una esposa, madre, abuela, hermana y tía increíble. Deja atrás a su marido, Octavio; sus tres hijos, Lety, Fito y Lupe; cuatro nietos, Gio, Milan, Isla y Nico; su nuera, Kandi; yerno, Senica; sus dos hermanos, Juan Ángel y Meni; y hermana Tere. Muchas sobrinas, sobrinos, primos y amigos. Estaba rodeada de gente que la amaba. Pero ella se ganó todo ese amor. Era conocida por su espíritu brillante y extrovertido. Era cariñosa, chistosa y podía iluminar cualquier habitación por la que entrara.

Vivió en Chicago durante muchos años y siempre mencionó lo mucho que le encantaba ese lugar y que quería regresar. Entonces nuestra familia ha decidido llevarla. Estaríamos eternamente agradecidos por cualquier cosa que nos ayude en este doloroso viaje para dejarla descansar en Chicago. Todos la extrañaremos inmensamente, pero la mantendremos viva a través de los recuerdos que compartimos con ella. Gracias a todos y que Dios los bendiga.
