My mom, Leslie Broeke, was a loving person who struggled for many years with depression, homelessness, and addiction. Even though life was often difficult for her and for our relationship, she was still my mom, and I loved her deeply. On Halloween, Leslie tragically overdosed, and now I am trying to raise the funds needed to lay her to rest with dignity and love.

The costs of cremation and planning a memorial are more than I can manage on my own. I want to honor Leslie’s memory and give her the peaceful farewell she deserves, despite the hardships she faced. The funds raised will help cover her cremation and, this summer, a memorial when her sisters can join us and receive her ashes.
