Help Lay Leona "Gail" Adkins Price to Rest

It is with extreme sadness to announce that on June 20th, 2024, the sweetest woman I've ever known, my mother, Leona "Gail" Adkins Price, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center. She was a bright spark in this world and she will be deeply missed. She touched the lives of so many and ALWAYS went out of her way to make family, friends, and even strangers feel welcomed and loved. That's why it's so heartbreaking she still hasn't been laid to rest due to a misleading CICA insurance agent.

My mother had a current and active $10,000 insurance policy she had paid for over two years before an agent arrived at her door. The agent adamantly stated that if Mom opened a new $13,000 policy, it would be immediately active and in effect. After her passing, we soon discovered the agent sold a policy that would not pay because of a contestability period.

To even have a service, Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville requires half down on the $10,700 arrangement, so I'm setting the limit above to cover GoFundMe fees, plot, and footstone.
