Our mom Kim passed away early this morning, and our hearts are broken. She had been struggling with COPD for some time, and recently developed pneumonia, which made her condition much worse. On Saturday night, she took a fall at home and was rushed to the hospital. The next morning, her condition became critical and the medical team had to perform a rapid response. Sadly, she was never alert or responsive after that moment. We faced the incredibly hard decision to put her on hospice care, wanting her to be comfortable and free from pain. Thanks to the compassionate ICU nurses, she passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.
This loss was very sudden for our family, and we are still trying to process everything. Kim did not have life insurance, and we were not prepared for these unexpected expenses. We want to honor her memory by having her cremated and laid to rest with our dad, her husband of 40 years. They shared a lifetime together, and it would mean so much to us to reunite them. Any support will help us give her the peaceful farewell she deserves and bring our family some comfort during this difficult time.
