During the evening of July 8, 2020, 17 year old Kierra Phillips was found dead in Texas. Today her family has gathered, tortured in knowing Kierra is gone without them having a chance to say goodbye. Financially this couldn't come at a worse time. COVID-19 has taken the jobs of both of Kierra's parents, leaving them with little to no income at the moment. Their small town in Texas has been hit hard economically and funds are tight for everyone. Yet the town is rallying, by organizing community car washes and other socially mindful events, to help provide Kierra the proper burial she so deserves. Kierra will be missed by everyone she came in contact with. From the teachers in her school, to the friends who sat beside her. From her fellow community members, to those she never met. Kierra was a beautiful soul and we will not allow her to be forgotten. If you have anything to spare, please do so, for Kierra's funeral and for her devastated family. We appreciate each and every one of you, and we thank you on Kierra's behalf for giving her the dignified send-off she overwhelmingly deserves. All proceeds of this fundraiser will be delivered to John and Rita McQueen, Kierra's loving parents, who are
organizing Kierra's funeral with a local funeral home. Melissa Thurman is organizing this fundraiser. Melissa is Kierra's cousin and John McQueen's niece. Melissa lives in California and is helping the family from afar. John McQueen will be handling the final expenses for Kierra's funeral. Heaven's Gate Funeral Home in Victoria, Texas will be arranging Kierra's funeral. All donations are welcomed and appreciated by Kierra's family and friends. Your thoughts, prayers and love is felt by them all. Thank you for any help you can provide.
