Help Lay Kamari McNeil (KGroove) to Rest

Donation protected
Kamari McNeil was born on December 16, 2008, to Yolanda, and was her youngest son. At just 17 years old, Kamari was a 10th grade student at New Hanover High School, always surrounded by close friends and family. His smile could light up any room, and his laugh was truly contagious—he had a way of making everyone around him laugh for hours. Kamari loved music, dancing, and was known for his unique groove, earning him the nickname KGroove. He was always on his own wave and brought joy to everyone who knew him.

On the afternoon of March 23, 2026, Kamari left home to walk to the store for a snack. He spoke to his mom on the phone, telling her he loved her and that he would be heading straight back home. Tragically, as he walked past an unrelated altercation, Kamari was caught in the crossfire and lost his life before making it to the store. This unimaginable loss has left his mother, Yolanda, and the entire family heartbroken and devastated.

These tragedies happen without warning, and our family is struggling to cover the costs of Kamari’s burial. We are reaching out to our community for help to give Kamari the proper farewell he deserves. Any support you can offer—whether by donating or sharing this fundraiser—means the world to us. Thank you, truly, from the center of our hearts. Blessings, love, and peace from Kamari’s family.
