On August 14th Josiah Levi Alcaraz was born. Unexpectedly on Sept 2nd Josiah was rushed to Valley Children's Hospital where he was admitted for over a week. As tests were performed his family hoped and prayed for a miracle for Josiah would come out of his coma. At 3 weeks old Josiah was fighting for his life. Unfortunately he was pronounced brain dead days later. With that tragic news Alexandrea and Joaquin were left with the toughest decision to make. If they wanted to keep their son on life support. As they get the paperwork ready to take their beloved son Josiah off life support Alexandrea was asked if she wanted Josiah to be an organ donor. She immediately said yes. She thought about the what ifs, what if it was Josiah that needed an organ, what if my nieces or nephews needed an organ as well. Our son could be saving another life. The days leading up to saying goodbye to Josiah, the family was then informed a baby his age needed his heart in Texas. He was taken to surgery Sept 11th to recover his heart and it be transported to Texas. Although Josiah is no longer with us, his heart beat lives on in another baby. At 3 weeks old Josiah is a hero. Following an unforeseen tragedy, Joaquin, the father, had to take a leave of absence from work to support his son. The family kindly requests assistance with funeral expenses to lay him to rest alongside his sister, Athena. This go fund me has been established to alleviate the unforeseen financial burden. Every donation, regardless of size, is greatly appreciated.
Josiah Levi Alcaraz is survived by his mother, father, and two brothers, Joaquin and Ace.
Thank you all for the continuous love, support, and prayers ❤️
