Joelen was a fiery redhead who loved life and brought joy to those around her. She was deeply devoted to her family, and her daughter is currently expecting her second baby. Joelen was so excited about the possibility of welcoming her second grandchild, though she sadly passed away before learning the news. Her absence leaves a profound void in our lives, and we are heartbroken by her loss.

Joelen passed away a couple of weeks ago. She had no income, no life insurance, no husband, and was on Medicaid. Unfortunately, the WV Department of Human Resources refused to approve an application for burial funds, leaving us without assistance. The mortuary caring for her requires payment for her cremation, and we are struggling to cover this unexpected expense. We want to honor Joelen’s memory and give her the respectful farewell she deserves, but we cannot do it alone.
