Thursday, September 18, 2025, our Ventura community lost a true friend and servant leader: Jeff Hata. His passing was sudden and heartbreaking for everyone who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosandra Esquivel, who is now carrying both the emotional and financial burden of arranging his services and honoring his final wishes.

A decade ago, Jeff bravely battled and survived cancer, giving us more precious years of his kindness, wisdom, and service. But that battle also left him without access to life insurance. Because of this, we are asking for your help to cover funeral and burial expenses so Jeff can be laid to rest with the dignity he deserves.

Jeff gave generously to Ventura for decades, serving on local boards and proudly leading as a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Ventura East. His leadership and generosity touched countless lives through:
