I'm Mike, one of Jimmy "Trokdawg" Trocchio's oldest friends, spanning over 35 years back to our childhoods when we grew up as neighbors in Pittsburgh. He and his dad, Big Jim, were great to have as neighbors. Big Jim passed away this week while Jim was in Paris finishing up a work assignment. Many of you know that little Jim is a self-taught concert photographer currently working with The Doobie Brothers. This was terrible, unexpected news, especially since he learned about the passing while being around the world. He called his dad for the routine catch-up but knew something was amiss when Jim didn't answer his call; he always did.
Jim got back to the US today to start the planning and arrangements. He nor his dad would ever expect or want the help, that's why I am setting this up.
James P. Trocchio was 76. He died at his home of 25 years in the town he was from in Catasauqua, PA. Humble, kind, low-key, and funny. He always did what he could, with what he had, for who he loved. The memories of Big Jim living next door, and being one of my best friend's dads, will always live in my being. Your help laying him to rest with respect will be forever remembered.
Thank you
