On December 14th, 2025, Jakob Evans, the beloved 20-year-old son of Mary Evans and Shane Stephen, was involved in a tragic accident. Despite the hopes and prayers of his family and friends, Jakob passed away on December 19th. His loss has left a deep ache in the hearts of everyone who knew him, especially his parents and those closest to him.

Jakob was a caring, loving, and compassionate young man. Over the past few years, he found joy and purpose working with camels—a job he truly loved. He was known for his quick wit, his intelligence, and the warmth he brought to every room. Jakob’s kindness and humor touched many lives, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Mary and Shane wish to lay Jakob to rest in Yoncalla, surrounded by family and friends. The funds raised will go directly toward funeral services, helping them honor Jakob’s life and give him the farewell he deserves.
