Help Lay Jaime Félix to Rest in His Beloved Mexicali

Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Jaime Félix, lovingly known as “Jimmy Happy.” At 75 years old, Jaime left this world after a life filled with music, laughter, and kindness. A life that touched countless hearts and left melodies echoing in the lives of those who loved him.

Born in Mexicali, Baja California, Jaime was a lifelong musician, a master of the requinto, and a soul whose passion for music never faded. He spent his days playing at parties, serenatas, and special moments that became unforgettable because of the joy he brought through his music.

He was a devoted father to two daughters, and through them came six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter each a reflection of his warmth, humor, and heart. His love for his family was as constant as the music that flowed through his life steadfast, full of soul, and unforgettable. His legacy will forever live on through them.

For the last seven years, Jaime courageously battled Alzheimer’s, dementia, and Parkinson’s. Even in illness, his kind spirit and sense of humor never left him. His final wish was to be laid to rest in his beloved hometown of Mexicali, a place where his story began.

To everyone who knew him, Jaime wasn’t just a man with a guitar, he was joy in human form. Always quick with a joke, always greeting others with a smile, always ready to help a stranger. If he saw someone in need, he gave without hesitation his jacket, his food, his time. His nickname, “Jimmy Happy,” wasn’t just a name it was who he truly was.

He found joy in playing music with his friends and loved surprising his family with birthday serenades that made every celebration feel extra special. He was full of life often seen riding his bike or taking walks, always on the move, always giving, always bringing a little more light wherever he went.

Jaime Félix leaves behind not just memories, but a song that will never fade a melody of compassion, laughter, music, and love. We are kindly asking for your support to help fulfill Jaime’s final wish: to be laid to rest in his hometown of Mexicali. Any contribution, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family as we work to give him the farewell he truly deserves in the city that held his heart.

Thank you,
Fam. Felix
