My nephew Ivan, lovingly known as Wino, was a fighter from the very beginning. He was sick since he was a baby, and my sister made the difficult decision to move to Boston so he could receive better treatments for his condition. For a couple of years, Ivan showed incredible strength and resilience, bringing hope to our family as he made progress. Unfortunately, his health took a turn when one of his kidneys shut down. From there, things became even more challenging—he battled frequent pneumonia and began to have serious problems with his heart and lungs. Despite all the hardships, Ivan continued to inspire us with his courage and the love he shared with everyone around him.

Yesterday morning, around eight, Ivan suffered a heart attack and passed away. Our family is heartbroken by this loss. We want to honor Ivan’s memory and give him the farewell he deserves, surrounded by those who loved him most. The funds raised will help cover the costs of his funeral service, burial, and flowers for his casket. We are also hoping to bring his grandparents from Puerto Rico so they can be with us to say goodbye to their beloved grandson.
