Help Lay Hilda's Dad to Rest

Hello, I’m Hilda. I am making this Gofundme to help lay my dad to rest. After taking him to the doctors for over a year for a cough that wouldn’t go away and being told he was fine…. Only to find out on March 18th of this year that he had a large mass on his left lung. I kept it a secret from him and my family, until we could figure everything out and see all the specialists. After seeing several doctors and specialists I found out he had lung cancer that spread to his bones. I still didn’t want to tell him due to the placebo effect, I felt that if he didn’t know how sick he was he would still be able to live his life as normal as can be. But then on April 24th the doctor’s made me tell him, which caused him to get depressed and he started to feel even worse. He would tell me he was in pain more often, he would just sit there spaced out and he wouldn’t eat. On May 20th he was in a lot of pain so I took him to the hospital where they told us he had about 2 liters of liquid in his left lung. The doctors let me know that in case his heart stopped working his chances of making it without being on a ventilator were slim. He then started coughing up blood clots. He was put on a breathing treatment as a last resort, since his body was already shutting down. My dad then passed away on May 21st. The Gofundme is to help with my dad’s funeral and burial expenses.
