Help Honor the Life and Legacy of G.P. Bailey

Donation protected

G.P (Glenn Patrick) Bailey

July 6, 1952-August 4, 2025 (age 73)

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of G.P. Bailey — an accomplished singer, songwriter and guitarist whose music, kindness, and generous spirit touched countless lives across the greater Sacramento area, and beyond.

G.P. lived for music and for people. Just hours before he suffered a devastating stroke — the night before his 73rd birthday — he performed a live gig, singing three brand new songs he had written. Even in his final hours, he was doing what he loved: creating, sharing, and connecting through music.

G.P. was more than a performer — he was a gentle soul who gave freely to others, even when he had little himself. He was a passionate activist who supported local homeless organizations, including donating proceeds from 3 of his CD's. He lived with quiet compassion and humility, with his beloved family of parakeets and tropical fish.

Sadly, G.P. passed away without any financial means for cremation or memorial arrangements. We are coming together to raise the funds to ensure he is laid to rest with the dignity he deserves, and to hold a small gathering to celebrate the life and music of this extraordinary man.

If G.P. ever moved you with his songs, made you smile with his photographic retelling of music trivia and musicians, or inspired you with his selflessness, we invite you to help us honor his legacy. Every donation — no matter the size — brings us closer to giving him a loving farewell.

Let’s come together one final time to lift up the man who lifted so many of us.

With love and gratitude,

Friends of G.P Bailey

* All funds from this campaign will be managed directly by me, Kathleen Grover, and used solely for G.P. Bailey’s cremation, memorial arrangements, and related final expenses. I’m honored to help carry out this last act of love for my dear friend, and will keep records of all expenditures. Any remaining funds will be used to honor his memory in a meaningful way or donated to homeless organizations he supported.

Thank you for your trust, kindness, and generosity.
