On the morning of July 19th 2026, Eric Danny Martinez “Jr” passed away peacefully in his sleep. At just 44 years old, Jr left a lasting impact on those he met.

Eric was born June 27th 1982 in Santa Fe, New Mexico to Mary and Eric Martinez. He was the first of five children, followed by Stephanie, twins Cameron & Sabrina, and Christopher.

Eric was the life of the party and will be remembered for his captivating laugh. Everywhere he went, Jr either knew someone or introduced himself to strangers. Regardless of age, Jr made it a point to brighten the day of those around him.

Children and pets were an important part of Eric’s life. Jr loved his nephews Brayden and Elijah, making it a point to play with them whenever they were around. Jr was the Godfather to Joshua , Isaiah and Iziquial. Eric was a wonderful big brother to his siblings, making sure to snap a picture of them in his hairnets. Throughout his life, Jr adored animals. He was known to carry around dog treats anywhere he went. Eric leaves behind his beloved Precious, his 15 year-old Shitzu mix.

Jr loved classic cars, particularly his 1965 Impala and his 1984 Cadillac Coupe.
