On September 21, 2025, our beloved brother and son, Edward “Eddie” Delgado, was tragically taken from us due to gun violence in Chicago. Eddie was only 20 years old, with his whole life ahead of him. He was known for his honesty, kindness, and his willingness to help anyone in need, especially the elderly. Eddie worked hard to support his mother, Maria, and his younger siblings—Jojo, Cece, and Xavier—while his older siblings, Julian, Alicia, and Gabriella, looked up to him as a role model. He always told his mom he was the man of the house, and he truly lived up to those words every day.

Eddie had big dreams for his future. He was planning to move to Texas on September 30th to work in the oil rigs, hoping to build a better life for himself and his family. Sadly, he never made it to his 21st birthday. His loss has left the Delgado and Cotto families heartbroken and struggling to cope, not only with grief but also with the unexpected costs of funeral services. As a single mother, Maria is facing these expenses alone, and we want to give Eddie the farewell he deserves, surrounded by those who loved him most.
