Destiny was a gentle, kind, and incredibly loving 17-year-old whose light was taken far too soon. She wasn’t your typical teenager—Destiny never partied, never drank, and never smoked. Instead, she found joy in the simple things—especially her love for cartoons, with SpongeBob SquarePants being her favorite. Destiny shared an unbreakable bond with her mom, who was not just a parent but her best friend. She also adored her baby sister, who was 16 years younger. Destiny loved spending time with her big brother, and she found peace in driving his car at night—she said the quiet roads made her feel safe. Though Destiny was soft-spoken and shy, she had a spark inside her. She poured her creativity into doing her own hair and lashes, and soon, people asked her to do theirs—she was so talented, and she loved making others feel beautiful. Destiny was also thrilled to begin her first job, and she told her dad she couldn’t wait to pay her own cell phone bill once she got that first paycheck. Destiny’s quiet strength, sweet spirit, and tender love touched everyone who knew her. Though her time with us was far too short, her memory, love, and laughter will remain forever in our hearts.
