Around 9:30 PM on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. Our son, brother, nephew, godson, student, and friend De’Nori Deshawn McClellan was taken from us. At only 13 years old, De’Nori was shot while at the bowling alley with some friends. De’Nori was a quiet, respectful, helpful, and loving child. He had a love for video games and sports. Just this year, he had expressed an interest in trying out for his middle school basketball team, though he will never get the chance to see his future talents and dreams fulfilled. De’Nori was loved by many, and this loss hits us hard as we realize De’Nori won’t get to graduate, get his driver's license, go to college, get married, have children, or enjoy life. De’Nori lost his life to gun violence.

Now, De’Nori's family and his 3 siblings are facing the difficult reality that they must move forward without De’Nori. The sudden loss has left us with the overwhelming burden of funeral expenses such as mortuary, church, burial, and medical expenses. De’Nori was everything to us and to everyone who knew him. His absence will be deeply felt.
