My name is Latesha, and I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my family after the devastating loss of my brother, Darius Chappell.
On July 3, 2026, Darius passed away while in the custody of the Montgomery County Jail in Clarksville, Tennessee. Our family is heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with this unimaginable tragedy.
Darius was more than a brother—he was a father to three young boys who will now have to grow up without their dad. No child should have to experience this kind of loss, and no family should have to endure the pain we are feeling.
In the days leading up to his passing, our family desperately sought help. We raised concerns about his condition, contacted attorneys, reached out to community organizations, and advocated for him because we were deeply worried about his health and well-being. Now, we are left grieving while searching for answers.
We are asking for your support to help cover funeral and memorial expenses and to help ease the financial burden on our family during this incredibly difficult time. Any remaining funds will go toward supporting Darius’s three sons and helping our family as we navigate the days ahead.
No donation is too small, and if you are unable to give, we ask that you please share this fundraiser and keep our family in your prayers.
Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this heartbreaking time.
With love and gratitude,
Latesha and the Chappell Family
