Curtis K. Mackie was a kind soul who always kept to himself, but his love for his family and his hard work spoke volumes about the person he was. He was someone who cared deeply for those around him, and his quiet strength was a comfort to everyone who knew him. Curtis's passing has left a tremendous void in our lives, and we are heartbroken to say goodbye so soon.

Recently, Curtis suffered a second stroke to the brain and then went into cardiac arrest. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, he could not be saved. As his mother, I am now faced with the difficult task of arranging his funeral and honoring his memory in the way he deserves. Unfortunately, Curtis's insurance had lapsed because he was unable to keep up with the payments, and we have received a funeral home bill that we are struggling to cover on our own.
