Colleen Marie Higa was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer in 2020. She fought long and hard, and every time doctors said it was time, she found the strength to fight her way back. Sadly, her body couldn’t fight any longer, and she passed away peacefully in her sleep. Colleen was a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, married for 53 years and together with her husband for almost 60 years. She loved everyone she met and befriended every person she came across. Her grandkids and kids were her world, and she always put family first.

Now, as we grieve her loss, we are faced with the challenge of honoring her final wishes. Colleen lived in Las Vegas for many years, but her wish was to be buried in San Diego, close to family. This is an added expense that we are not prepared for, and we are reaching out for help to make this possible. The funds raised will go directly toward funeral expenses and the costs of bringing her home to rest near her loved ones.
