Although our dear friend Clay is still with us at this time, we understand his time left with us will be short. Clay's wishes are for him to be interred with his family at the Green Acres Memorial Park in Bloomington, CA, where all his family and his wife Becky are laid to rest. We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help honoring the life of our dear friend.
For many years, Clay has lived courageously with muscular dystrophy, a condition that slowly took away his strength but never his kindness, humor, or his faith in Jesus Christ. Despite the challenges he faced daily, he remained one of the most gentle and grateful people we have ever known. He never complained and when he was asked how he was doing, would always reply, "I'm living the dream." We have been honored by Clay with the responsibility to take care of arrangements, and we could not allow him to leave this world without dignity or remembrance. We have been working to arrange a simple burial and service so that he is not alone and is properly laid to rest.
Unfortunately, the cost of even the most modest funeral and burial services is far more than what we have set aside. After contributing what we personally can, there is still a significant gap remaining. We are asking for help from anyone willing—no amount is too small—to ensure that Clay receives a respectful burial and a small memorial service so that those who knew him can say goodbye. All donations will go directly toward funeral home services, interment fees, transportation and preparation costs, and a simple memorial service. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would mean just as much to us. More than anything, we want Clay to leave this world knowing he mattered and that he was not alone. Thank you for your compassion and kindness during this difficult time.
