April 9th, 2021 we mourned and still now have not processed the death of my father Cristophe Janin Patrick Ombele.
Cristophe had an ongoing battle with multiple health issues and had spent the last 3 months in hospital trying to recover in the best possible way. Despite all his efforts, unfortunately for everyone it just wasn't enough and now we've lost a much adored and respected man.
Never the loudest in the room, but his presence was always felt. He was a software engineer, there would never be a day where you wouldn't see him without a computer, and I'm so grateful to have been a part of his life. Even though he wasn't with my mum anymore, she was there for him every day by his side, constantly providing extra support to aid his recovery and I'm so blessed to have such great parents.
It is now my duty as the firstborn to make sure that myself and the family give him the send-off he deserves and would be very much grateful for any contributions made towards the cause. All of the support will be going towards the funeral costs as well as my mother, Blanche.
I can't put how I'm feeling into words right now but from the bottom of my heart I'm very appreciative of all the support and kind words from everyone so far, my father's legacy will live on through myself, Grace, Bradley and Alicia.
I know he's not hurting anymore and I hope he's resting in eternal peace alongside all our loved ones that we've lost these past few months.
