On April 11th, our family suffered an unimaginable loss. My nephew, Charvante List, a 27-year-old son, father, brother, and uncle, was taken from us far too soon. He was at home, looking forward to seeing his youngest child, when his life was tragically cut short. His child was in the car watching, and his mother was just inside the house, only 20 feet away. There was nothing anyone could do to save him, and now our family is facing the most difficult days of our lives. No mother should ever have to bury her child, and the pain is made even harder by the financial burdens that come with such a tragedy. Charvante was known to many as "Chino"—he lit up every room he entered and never hesitated to greet those around him. He leaves behind children, family, and friends who loved him dearly.
We are now faced with the overwhelming costs of transporting him home, funeral arrangements, a casket, cremation, and the reality that his mother will need to take time off work to grieve and handle these arrangements. Bills do not stop, even in the face of heartbreak. I am reaching out to anyone who can find it in their heart to help. Your donation, no matter the size, will help us lay Charvante to rest beside his family and support his mother as she navigates these darkest days. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser or offering a prayer for our family. No words can heal our pain, but your kindness and support mean the world to us. Thank you to everyone who shares, prays, and donates.
