On Sunday morning, the Thomas County community received the most heartbreaking news that 5-year old Carter Atkinson, who went missing Saturday, was found deceased after an overnight search. Carter was a sweet, innocent little boy with a grin that could brighten any room. He welcomed the world in his own beautiful way. He is deeply loved by his family, including his twin brother, who misses him more than words can say. He never spoke a sentence, yet he wrote a lifetime of love on our hearts.

No family should have to plan a funeral for their child, and none are ever prepared for the cost. We are asking for any help to go towards putting our little Carter to rest. Every dollar raised goes directly toward Carter’s funeral and memorial expenses, giving his parents the space to grieve and care for Carter’s brother without added financial burden.
