Hi, my name is Myriah Gates, and I’m an Active Duty Airman (A1C) in the U.S. Air Force. I’m writing this with a heavy heart as my family and I grieve the unexpected loss of my big brother, Calvin.

Calvin was more than just a brother—he was the light in every room, the person who could make you laugh no matter what kind of day you were having. He was full of life, joy, and humor. He loved anime and Japanese culture and always dreamed of visiting Japan someday. Sadly, he never got that chance.

He leaves behind two beautiful daughters, a nephew, loving aunts and uncles, and countless friends and family members whose lives he touched deeply. Our mother is devastated, and this loss has shaken our entire family.

We’re asking for help to give Calvin the proper goodbye he deserves. Anything you can donate will go toward funeral and burial expenses, and to help our family through this incredibly difficult time.
