Help me place my beloved brother to rest.
Donation protected
Hi, everyone.
As many of you know; my brother Jeremey Kerr passed away this morning, December 1st, 2024 following a brain bleed, and has suffered a prolonged fight with cardiac illness and heart failure.
I moved Jeremey to Columbus, Ohio in 2019 in order to save his life, improve his quality of life, and give him as many good years left as I possibly could alongside I and my son, Xander.
As many also know, Jeremey was a former drummer and executive chef, and had an absolute heart of gold. Whether you were at a critical low point, or you'd otherwise needed financial help - Jeremey did his best to always be there.
In the last few years, Jeremey has been dependent on Social Security Disability Insurance, that of which has been insufficient to properly pay his bills, and I have done my best to subsidize the difference on his behalf.
As a result, while we were aware for the last two years that our time would be running thin, I was unable to garner funds to prepay for a cremation and final affairs.
Further, I had secured Jeremey's lease, and unfortunately the complex involved will not allow us to break it despite his death normally, and as such have indicated they would place a multi-thousand debt that would prevent me from leasing elsewhere.
Upon speaking with the funeral home (Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society) this morning, I was informed that the cost of Jeremey's final journey to cremation would incur roughly $1,600.
In addition, I am taking in his beloved pitty-girl, Shaybear (Shady). I would like to honor him, fulfill his final wishes properly, take care of our beloved pitty girl, ensure his best friend and room-mate Mike is taken care of, and fulfill the legacy of my best friend, and a man who practically raised me.
As such, I am reaching out for help. I cannot do this alone, and anything whether it be a share or a donation regardless of amount will help.
Please help me bring this champion to rest on his final journey.
Thank you, and thank you for all the memories.
