With broken hearts, we share the devastating news that 17-year-old Anthonaya Campbell has passed away after being critically injured in the tragic shooting at Haffen Park in Baychester, The Bronx.
Anthonaya was simply visiting her family and went to the park that day — never imagining her life would be cut short in such a senseless act of violence. She was the youngest victim that day, struck down while standing innocently in a place where young people should have been safe.
Anthonaya was the youngest victim that day — a vibrant, kind, and ambitious young woman who had just turned 17. She dreamed of becoming a speech pathologist so she could help others find their voice, a reflection of her caring and compassionate spirit. Her life was filled with promise, and she touched everyone who knew her with her warmth and determination.
Her sudden passing has left her family shattered and struggling to cope with this unimaginable loss. In addition to their grief, they now face the unexpected financial burden of funeral and burial expenses.
We are asking for your support to help Anthonaya’s family give her the beautiful farewell she deserves. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward funeral costs, burial arrangements, and helping the family through this heartbreaking time.
