Hi everyone! We’re Dylan and Alex, a couple based in Los Angeles. This holiday season, we felt called to do something meaningful for a community that’s deeply important to Dylan, Alex, and their families.

Alex has relatives who live in Lawis, Cebu, a small coastal village in the Philippines. This year has been especially hard for many families in the area. Northern Cebu was hit by a strong 6.9 earthquake earlier in the year, followed by weeks of severe storms and heavy rainfall. Even when smaller villages don’t make the news, the impact is VERY real. Many households are still struggling to access basic essentials like food, clean water, bedding, and simple storage for their belongings.

One of Alex’s family members in Lawis has been doing incredible grassroots work for the community—organizing Rice Days, Ice Cream Days, and recently a small fundraiser that provided storage bins, which turned out to be one of the most helpful items the families received. People use them to wash clothes, keep food protected, and store the few items they have so they stay clean and dry.

After hearing how far even small contributions go, we felt moved to open this up—not just to our friends and family, but to anyone who wants to make a tangible difference this holiday season.
