Help Lawanna Rebuild After Tornado Loss
Donation protected
My name is Lawanna Jones, a survivor of the tornado that hit Saint Louis, Missouri, like a freight train. I am in need of mental and financial help. On May 16, 2025, a devastating tornado tore through Saint Louis City, Missouri, leaving behind destruction and heartbreak. Among the many families affected was my household
. My family and I are now displaced, trying to put the pieces of our lives back together from the disaster. We basically lost everything , things where stolen you name , It’s hard when you don’t have transportation and help. I never thought it would happen to me and it’s really hard realizing you have no control over unseen things.
The day started out as a normal day. I was working nights after a 9-hour shift, just to be woken by screams and a window on top of me. My daughter, holding my grandbaby tight, was crawling and screaming, 'Mom, wake up, it’s a tornado!' We began crawling to the basement as the tornado ripped the community apart. Thankful for our lives, I was a renter with no insurance due to the high cost of living. To make matters worse, no help was and is available.
Organizations were out to help with the disaster, including my sons who cleared 4 city blocks. Still, to this day, I have no electricity due to the power box that the landlord hasn’t even tried to repair. The storm ripped 25% of my roof, an added room in the back collapsed, windows blown out, and the front of my home partially on the ground. Every wire you can think of was ripped out. To make matters worse, we were filmed by strangers and pictures were taken of our tragedy.
I wanted everyone to know that the pictures is of my son Timothy jones ,Nigel jones , Joe jones and others doing a great service for 5 days for the community. My homes is the First 3 pictures as well.
Congresswoman Kimberly Ann ,Came out and got involved all the way.
My daughter Shaybrelle jones amazing.
Now we need much needed help aswell.
Our family is reaching out for help; any donations, no matter how small, are needed. It’s time to rebuild my family and our lives and get on the road to recovery with much-needed help.
With much gratitude,
The Jones Family
Thank you for your compassion and prayers as well.
