Help Law School Mom Fix Her Car
Donation protected
Hi all.
I don't really know where to start except to say that I wouldn't be doing this unless it was absolutely necessary.
Despite routine maintenance, my car has taken a turn for the worse, and I simply don't have the emergency funds available to cover the cost of the repairs right now. While there's a universe in which I trade it in or go without, that's simply not this one. I am a mom in law school, and currently my only way to earn income is through Doordashing--and I need transportation for myself and my son.
They say to "be convincing" and "be compelling" and to "tell your story," but I'll be honest, I don't know how to end this, mostly because my head is swirling with the millions of other ways that everyone needs help, all the time. My story isn't unique, not really. There a million people more in need, and more deserving. In the grand scheme of things, I'm wildly fortunate. It feels unfair to ask for help for myself in light of that. I'm not sure how to grapple with that except to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, if you're able to help. And if you're not, I'm still grateful.
