[PIOUS, HATEFUL, & DEVOUT] present a production of Jonathan Larson’s RENT!!! as a benefit event for the Los Angeles Valley College Department of Theatre and Dance!

This production hosted by LAVC Department of Theatre and Dance in their swing space at Theatre 68 Arts Complex, The Emerson Theatre, which has been their performance and classroom space since their performance space at the college was demolished in preparation for the new Valley Academic and Cultural Center, a project that has faced YEARS of delays and setbacks.

Now more than ever, cuts to funding for the arts, cuts to funding for projects that highlight the struggles of marginalized communities, cuts to funding for sexual health education and prevention, are all leaving communities scrambling to survive. Your donation can help support the Los Angeles Valley College Department Theatre and Dance as they prepare to begin instruction in the long-awaited new building.

This production brings together longtime creative partners Director Rubén Gabriel Hernández and Costume Designer Samantha Jo Jaffray. The company of RENT is made up of frenetic and passionate artists, many of whom are alumni of LAVC.
