Hello! My name is Lauryn Guidry, and I am a student at Howard University in Washington, D.C., pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Legal Communications. My passion lies at the intersection of law, politics, and social justice. My education is the foundation for the career I am building to make lasting, positive change.
I currently serve as a Litigation Paralegal at Ornsby Dozier LLP, where I support complex family law cases, helping clients navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Over the past four years, I’ve worked in diverse roles across legal, legislative, and advocacy spaces. From drafting legal documents at various firms, to supporting congressional operations in the U.S. House of Representatives, to shaping policy recommendations for the City and County of San Francisco as a Social Justice Fellow.
My journey has been deeply shaped by service and leadership. I’ve been honored to receive the Life on Purpose Scholarship, which affirms my commitment to living with intentionality, equity, and impact. I’ve volunteered as a Team Leader for Howard University Alternative Spring Break, supporting at-risk students; served as a phone banker for local and national elections; and held leadership roles in organizations like the Howard University College Democrats, Future Law Scholars, and the Black Women Pre-Law Society.
Balancing my studies, internships, jobs, and community work hasn’t always been easy—especially with the high cost of living and education in Washington, D.C. I’m now reaching out for support to help cover my final tuition so that I can focus fully on completing my degree and stepping into my next chapter.
Every dollar you contribute is an investment, not just in my education, but in the communities I will continue to serve. Your generosity will help me graduate in May 2026 and continue building a career in litigation, advocacy, and policy reform.
Thank you for believing in my work and in the change I’m striving to create. If you can, please donate and share this campaign with your network. Thank you.
