Lauron is a beautiful and joyful little girl who deserves the chance to grow up, play, laugh, and experience all the happiness that childhood brings. However, shortly after she was born, Rochelle and her family’s journey took an unexpected turn when they discovered that Lauron has Severe Hemophilia A, a rare bleeding disorder that affects her body’s ability to stop bleeding properly. From the very beginning of her life, Lauron has already faced challenges that no child should have to endure.
Lauron lives in the Philippines, where access to advanced medical care for hemophilia is extremely limited. As a newborn, Lauron experienced severe bleeding from her umbilical cord, which was one of the first signs that something was not right. She also developed significant swelling and extensive bruising on her arms and other areas of her body, especially from the many needle sticks and medical procedures needed during her care. She has also experienced episodes of gum bleeding, reminding her family every day how fragile her condition can be. Watching Lauron go through these painful experiences has been one of the most heartbreaking things Rochelle and her family have faced. Yet, despite everything she has gone through, Lauron continues to show incredible strength, courage, and a beautiful spirit.
Recently, Lauron experienced a painful joint bleed (hemarthrosis) in her ankle that required hospitalization, Factor VIII treatments, and close medical attention. While Rochelle and her family are doing everything they can to provide the care she needs, the cost of managing Severe Hemophilia A has become a heavy burden. Living with Severe Hemophilia A requires ongoing treatment, including Factor VIII replacement therapy, specialist care, medications, and regular monitoring. Unfortunately, many of these advanced treatments and specialists are not available in the Philippines.
Rochelle's family is hoping to raise enough funds to bring Lauron to the United States, where she can see a hematologist and receive advanced treatments that are not offered in her home country. Your support will help cover travel expenses, medical consultations, treatments, medications, and the care Lauron needs to continue fighting this condition. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in Lauron's journey. If you are unable to donate, sharing Lauron's story and keeping her in your prayers would mean just as much to her family. They believe that God works through people, and are deeply grateful for every person who chooses to stand with them during this journey. Thank you for helping Lauron have the opportunity to grow, dream, and enjoy the childhood every child deserves.
